Web applications

Build software / apps around the business.

Sometimes off-the-shelf software gets close to what an organisation needs, but the gaps become increasingly expensive, time-consuming or frustrating.

We believe web software and apps should work around you, not the other way around.

A custom web app starts with your actual workflow.

We build

  • Customer & client portals

Secure self-service spaces for accounts, documents, orders and day-to-day tasks.

  • CRM & ERP applications

Systems shaped around your records, people and processes rather than a generic product.

  • eLearning platforms

Courses, assessments and progress tracking for large programmes and specialist audiences.

  • Internal business tools

Software that removes friction from the work teams already do every day.

  • Workflow systems

Approvals, hand-offs and status tracking that keep complex processes moving.

  • Search & discovery platforms

Fast, relevant finding across large content sets, catalogues and knowledge bases.

  • Dashboards & reporting

Clear views of the numbers and activity people need to make decisions.

  • Data management

Structure, import, clean and maintain the information the application depends on.

  • Payments, payment gateways & user accounts

Sign-in, permissions, billing and account journeys built into the product.

  • APIs & integrations

Reliable connections to finance, CRM, email, search and the wider technology stack.

Bespoke applications can be simpler for the people using it because it contains the functionality that's important to them. Custom web software can become an asset built around your organisation, rather than an ongoing subscription for off-the-shelf software that only partly fits.

We assess all the options and recommend what makes commercial sense.

Platforms & integrations

Connected to the systems organisations already rely on.

Websites and applications rarely stand alone. We connect them to CRMs, finance, search, payments, email, hosting and the wider stack, so the experience for the people using them stays simple.

Selected platforms & technologies we work with

  • Laravel
  • Salesforce
  • Algolia
  • Xero
  • Sage
  • Stripe
  • DigitalOcean
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Mailchimp
  • Patchworks

Connect more. Make more possible.

Websites and applications increasingly sit at the centre of other technology, from CRMs and APIs to payment services, search platforms, documents, databases and third-party systems.

Connected well, they create a much simpler experience for the people using them.

AI is opening this further.

Applications can interpret natural language, work across documents and data, assist with repetitive processes and help people reach useful information in new ways.

The opportunity is often in combining AI with the systems and information a business already has, and knowing where that is genuinely useful.

Built for what comes next

Requests change. Technology changes. Organisations change.

We build with that in mind, whether creating something new or modernising an application that has been relied on for years. Many client relationships have lasted more than a decade, which gives us the context to make better decisions as requirements evolve.

Ongoing work that stays useful

After launch we stay involved: new functionality, integrations, framework updates, performance improvements, security updates and technical support from people who already know the website or application.

It's a journey we stay on with the client, helping as much as they need. Experience and judgement guides what we deliver next to support their success.

Hosting, security and responsibility

For the websites and applications we manage, we also take care of the environment around them, including managed UK hosting, restricted server access, monitoring, encrypted remote backups, updates, controlled deployments and recovery planning.

We use AI where it gives us more capability. Code is still reviewed and tested by experienced developers. Responsibility for what we build remains ours.

AI can assist the work, but responsibility remains ours.

What do you want to make possible?

A new website, a better process or something that doesn't exist yet.

It all starts with a conversation. Working out what comes next is where things get interesting and often where a long working relationship begins.
