Taylor Rose
A digital platform built to keep evolving with a national law firm.
We started working with Taylor Rose in 2023 and launched their new website platform in 2024.
The project involved much more than applying a new design to an existing CMS.
Taylor Rose needed a modern platform capable of supporting a large and continually changing organisation: hundreds of people, multiple offices, broad areas of law, recruitment, marketing campaigns, enquiries and a growing internal team that needed genuine control over its content.
We re-platformed the website from its previous Perch CMS onto our own Laravel-based CMS and have continued developing it ever since.

Information architecture
Making a large website easier to navigate
Law firm websites carry an unusual amount of interconnected information.
A visitor might arrive looking for a particular legal service, a solicitor they already know, somebody with specialist expertise or a lawyer near a particular location.
Those relationships between people, services, locations and insights became an important part of the site's structure.
We developed the platform so those different types of content can work together rather than existing as isolated pages, helping visitors move naturally between relevant expertise, teams and offices.
Search and filtering have continued to evolve as the volume of content has grown.
Content management
Flexibility without losing consistency
Taylor Rose's marketing team needs to create landing pages, campaign content and new sections without asking a developer to construct every page.
We therefore built the CMS around a flexible library of reusable content components.
What began with a relatively small set of page sections expanded into more than 30 configurable components, allowing considerably more freedom while maintaining the design language of the wider website.
The backend itself has also been heavily customised around the team using it, with controls for SEO, structured data, indexing, forms, people, locations and other content specific to the business.
Workflows
Enquiries, recruitment and internal workflows
A large part of the platform sits behind what a visitor sees.
We've developed structured enquiry journeys and administrative tools for handling incoming information, alongside a comprehensive recruitment area through which candidates can search vacancies and submit applications.
Internally, Taylor Rose can manage and filter submissions, export information for further analysis and route notifications to the appropriate teams.
These are small examples of a wider principle behind the project: wherever something repetitive or unnecessarily manual exists, there is often an opportunity to make the system do more of the work.

Continually modernising the platform
Taylor Rose is renowned for their "Smart Modern Law" approach - naturally their website must be a "Smart Modern" platform.
The business has grown rapidly, and their digital requirements continue to change around that growth.
Our ongoing relationship includes continuous monthly development rather than simply maintenance.
We continue to develop new functionality, improve search and content management, refine forms and workflows, and respond to new requirements from across the organisation.
This ensures the platform remains up to date and meets the needs of the business.
From our side
We don't regard Taylor Rose as a website project that stops when it launched. It's a working digital platform used by a large organisation every day, and that's one of the things we like about the relationship.
The public website is the visible part, but a lot of the interesting work is in the systems, workflows and detail behind it. Since launch we've been able to keep improving both rather than treating the project as finished and moving on.
